We live in a wonderful village, do you want to help keep it that way?

Through our Love Oxenhope initiative we are seeking to set up a team of village volunteers to do periodic work, when available, such as litter picking, keeping footpaths clear and loads of other relatively small tasks. Perhaps you’d like to assist in keeping the Millennium Green tidy and looking good, or work with existing volunteers in the Rose Garden or Horseshoe Dam (further along Station Road from the Co-op for those wondering where it is)?

The Village Council’s Warden completes many and varied tasks and some of them would be way easier with a few more hands helping out.

You can register here and when we next organise an event where help is needed we’ll let you know by email and WhatsApp. Absolutely no commitment or expectation at all and you can opt out at any time too.

We will also notify our volunteers when there is an emergency in the village … think of the power cut many of us suffered in early December and the flooding back in 2016. Nothing too dramatic, just ensuring our neighbours/fellow villagers are safe and should they need assistance with something, some of us would be there for them.
