Neighbourhood Planning Update

We have been working behind the scenes to put everything in place to start the Oxenhope Neighbourhood Plan and we thought it was time to give you an update.

To date we have had approximately 40 expressions of interest from villagers, local businesses and organisations wishing to become involved in the Neighbourhood Plan.  

As the Parish Council we have formally notified Bradford MDC that we will be producing a Neighbourhood Plan.

We then went to tender for a suitable Planning Consultancy to help us with the project. Three firms were invited to tender and we were pleased to select Integreat Plus. See their details and quotation document here.

The Parish Council has received financial support from the Government to cover the costs involved.

We will have a stall at the Oxenhope Village Fete to promote the Neighbourhood plan further. I would like to invite anyone who has already expressed an interest to call and have a chat at this event.

We intend to call a first meeting of all interested parties in September. Integreat Plus will give a short presentation. We will then ask for volunteers to form a Project Group from those Villagers present at that meeting. All villagers will be welcome at the meeting. If you feel you don’t have time to become a member of the Project Group we would welcome you to be a Stakeholder and Consultee throughout the process.

UPDATE: The first meeting will be held on Saturday 1st October, at 2.00 p.m. in the Methodist Chapel on West Drive.
